Customized Packaging Machinery sold to the Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Snack, Bakery, Confectionery, Cosmetic, and other Personal Care Products industries, needs a Sales Leader to be responsible for sale of service contract products and installations.
The Service Sales Leader will maintain a list of leads, and ensure prompt follow-up. They will visit customers to present service contract options, negotiate tailored contracts, and close contract sales. They will assist Field Technicians in doing the same.
The Service Sales Leader’s general duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensure the service business top line growth objectives are met or exceeded
Identify target opportunities and follow up on leads
Visits target leads to present service products and close sales.
Work with Marketing to define and implement sales and marketing plans to ensure aggressive growth targets are met or exceeded.
Define training materials required to encourage sales via Service technicians.
Assist Service Technicians in service sales related visits and customer meetings
The Service Sales Leader will be assessed on their ability to develop the field service business to aggressive growth goals. Measurements of success in the role will include:
Quarterly contract service sales orders taken versus targets
Quarterly installation service sales orders taken versus targets
Actually activities versus planned activities
Quotes sent per quarter
Conversion rate of quotes per quarter
Internal feedback from staff and external product sales reps
Assessments of competitive services
WORK ENVIRONMENT – The work environment characteristics described are representative of those encountered while performing essential functions of this job. The primary environment is traveling to customer sites, via commercial airline or car. Use of phone and computer is required. The ability to effectively and professionally communicate service value to clients is required. Company provided vehicle, laptop computer, and cell phone.
TRAVEL ? This position requires significant travel. Extensive travel will be required, up to 85% of the person?s time. Travel will primarily be within the continental US. The Service Sales Leader must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport. They must possess a valid driver?s license and maintain a clean motor vehicle record check.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE – A minimum Bachelors degree is required either in business, marketing, or engineering or technical field. A minimum of 3 years B2B sales experience is required. A strong preference will be given for B2B service sales experience.
